Linda Joyce Washington-Brown, Ph.D., EJD, APRN-C, MSN, CNS, LHCRM, FAANP is the retired founding Associate Dean for the RN-BSN Program at Broward College and adjunct faculty at Broward College and Saint Thomas University Graduate School of Nursing. Dr. Washington-Brown is a practicing advanced practice registered nurse and holds national certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Washington-Brown is a former post-doctoral fellow in the International Center for Women, Children, and Families and in the Center for Urban Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, a Policy Fellow in the W.E.B. Dubois Collective Research Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, and an Ethnic/Racial Minority Fellow at the American Nurses Association. She was recently inducted as a Fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member and secretary of the AANP Nomination Council and former AANP State Award Winner from Florida in 2016. Linda is also a two- time recipient of the AANP Research Grant awards.
