Recreational Water Illness Outbreak Response Toolkit

The National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) has compiled a list of documents from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other organizations to help jurisdictions with response to an outbreak of a recreational water illness.  Although some documents are specific to a cryptosporidiosis (Crypto) event, documents can be used as models for other pathogens. Below are educational materials and prevention strategies a facility can implement to minimize the spread of a crypto or other recreational water illness outbreaks. For more specific information, contact your local health department or the CDC.
