WAHC Track Tuesday: Health Benefits 2017

Who Should Attend?

The Health Benefits track supports what NSPF believes: if we create more swimmers and show the public how lives can be improved through water activity, the aquatics industry itself will grow. The Health Benefits sessions are meant to expand the knowledge base of members of various industry segments: water enthusiasts, aquatic therapists, swimmers, people with a fear of water, and those interested in encouraging more swimming. This track is also an opportunity for pool operators, manufacturers, and industry leaders to learn how they can influence demand for their products and services through increased aquatic activity.

What Will Be Learned?

Many different topics will be covered during this track, including two workshops. One workshop will be hosted by previous Keynote Speaker, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols. The other workshop will be presented by this year's Keynote Speaker, Amy Posey, collaborating with Dr. Nichols. Sessions will focus on aquatic therapy, aquatic neuroscience, aquatic exercise, becoming more comfortable in the water, and how water can heal the mind.
