Electrical Safety

This online course prepares aquatic professionals to work safely with and around electricity. This course does not address arc-flash hazards and controls, lock-out/tag-out procedures, or high voltage (220V or 440V) electrical safety. For a course that covers the former items listed, click here.

Electrical Safety training focuses on the following objectives, while the online format allows students to learn at their own pace:

  • Identify the hazards associated with electricity: shock and fire
  • Explain how electricity works regarding hazards on the job
  • Describe basic safety controls and practices at work
  • Identify and explain how to respond to electrical emergencies

Successful completion of this 30-minute online course earns a Record of Completion. IACET CEUs are not available for this course.
