U.S. National Swimming Pool Foundation Builds Representation in Australia’s Growing Field
Liaison Position Filled to Better Suite International Needs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, October 23, 2015 – The U.S. National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) is proud to announce a new Liaison for the non-profit in Australia, Shane Ince. The NSPF supports the Australian industry’s goals to grow and encourage more aquatic activity.
The NSPF saw an important need for representation in Australia as the country’s aquatic industry were looking to come together to form the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia Ltd. (SPASA Australia). The NSPF training programmes can be used as a pathway to receiving either the Certificate III or IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service. Thanks to Ince’s engagement, the NSPF will be better represented and advocated in Australia. He has been an NSPF certified instructor for six years.
The NSPF took notice of Australia’s ambition to improve the industry eight years ago and continues being a part of the country’s pool and spa journey. The NSPF contributed as a reviewer during the development of the national qualifications. Now, with Ince representing NSPF, continued support to Australia’s evolving industry is enhanced, with a direct resource ready when needed.
“We realize that Australians have been incredibly proactive in driving the direction of the profession,” stated Silvia Uribe, Mission Development Director, World. “By coming together as one unit and driving national qualification requirements, Australia is elevating the industry to a new standard of care.”
“As close as we are in spirit with our Australian friends, we remain many time zones apart,” adds Thomas Lachocki, CEO of NSPF. “Having a leading educator on Australian soil is the next logical step to help us better serve those in Australia as they continue to shape and change the industry.”
