WAHC 2017: Pre and Post-Conference Events
It's nearly the end of August. October is only a few weeks away! We will all be attending the 14th Annual World Aquatic HealthTM Conference, but there is so much more than just the conference taking place on October 18-20. Be sure to review our Pre- and Post-Conference Events to plan your trip accordingly.
CMAHC Biennial Vote on the Code
October 17-18, Omni Interlocken (WAHC Host Hotel)
Every two years, Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) members can take part in the process of updating the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC). There have been 180 Change Requests submitted for 2017. Be eligible to participate in the review, comments, discussion, and voting on these CRs by joining the CMAHC, now. The first Vote on the Code Conference in 2015 was a success, and this conference can be, too, “driven by your expertise!” All CRs and attachments, technical reviews, member comments, conference presentations, voting results, and livestream video are posted on the CMAHC 2015 Biennial Conference Archive webpage. Attendees that register for both WAHC and CMAHC will receive a total $50 discount off registration. To learn more about the CMAHC and reviewing the Change Requests, visit cmahc.org today!

This hands-on course is open to all therapists, medical fitness practitioners, wellness professionals, and rehabilitation providers who count aquatic therapy within their scope of practice. Training is designed to provide evidence-based ideas for treating the patient with low back, neck, shoulder and chronic pain–and then to practice these techniques in water. The course covers summaries of recent research findings which support aquatic therapy for these populations. Also included is a 4-hour warm water lab, with transportation to the pool lab provided by NSPF. The instructional hours are pre-approved for 8 CCUs from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT), a recognized provider for licensure renewal in 30 states. Registration fora Aquatic Therapy Day is $199.
