Ultra Violet light treatment is becoming increasingly popular as a process technology in swimming pools and aquatic facilities in order to reduce or remove any negative impacts to public health from poor water quality. The presentation will cover UV treatment, how it works, performance in the field, and the benefits of installation, as well as practical issues in applying and installing in swimming pool mechanical rooms. Tony Leigh is the technical director of ATG Willand, a UK company with 25 years experience of designing and installing UV units in a variety of applications, and 10 years experience supplying UV into swimming pools. Tony has been technical director of ATG Willand for 12 years and has been employed by ATG in the field of UV treatment for 20 years.
